Squid Jigging Point Trail

Try this 1.1-km point-to-point trail near Division No. 9, Newfoundland and Labrador. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 15 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, mountain biking, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.

If luck should have it and you’re trekking around Squid Jiggin’ Point on a mauzy, high tide, August evening, you may find boats aplenty. Watch and listen closely as they haul their catch, yelling “squid-o!” all while being covered head to toe in squid ink.
Users may take the optional, unmaintained path to Noddy Bay Lookout for a Panoramic view.
Take a step off the beaten path and journey into the breathtaking world of icebergs, whales, and rugged coastlines. Hike the Iceberg Trail where you will find an incredible network of sustainably built trails that will immerse you into the wilderness at the edge of the world.
Warning
This trail has many natural hazards, including high cliffs, slippery slopes, sharp rocks, and deep, fridged waters. Wildlife such as Moose or Coyote may be on trail. Never attempt to approach or feed wildlife, and always keep your distance.
