Round Head Trail

Discover this 3.1-km point-to-point trail near L’Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland and Labrador. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 44 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are May through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Getting There
Drive toward L’Anse Au Meadows, Pull over where the road offers parking on your left. Head down toward the coast on your right. A set of stairs is at the trailhead.
Warning
This trail has many natural hazards, including high cliffs, slippery slopes, sharp rocks, and deep, fridged waters. Wildlife such as Moose or Coyote may be on trail. Never attempt to approach or feed wildlife, and always keep your distance.

- Mostly stable surface.
- Trail/hiking footwear recommended.
- Slight change in elevation, some short, steep sections and coastal/cliff exposure.
