With panoramic views of cliffs, coves, and wide-open ocean, the trail offers a raw, untamed experience.
It is slated for future development as part of GNTA’s Great Northern Trail Network plan. Unmarked and unmaintained for now, Goose Cape is best tackled with GPS, good boots, and backcountry smarts. Expect steep climbs, loose rock, and the chance to glimpse caribou or moose along the way.
This route is currently unmaintained. It is a rugged backcountry path with uneven ground. Visitors will find moderate changes in elevation, some short, steep sections, and coastal exposure. Route-finding is required as the trail is not marked – GPS/navigation skills are essential. Hiking boots, trekking poles, water, food, weather layers, and first aid strongly recommended.
This trail is for experienced hikers seeking adventure, solitude, and unforgettable views on Newfoundland’s northern coast.
