Take a few easy steps off the road and find yourself at one of the Great Northern Peninsula’s most charming ocean lookouts.

Beginning just behind the cemetery in Great Brehat, this short 240 m boardwalk trail leads gently uphill to a well-built viewing platform perched above the rugged shoreline. Benches along the way invite you to sit, breathe deep, and take in the view—icebergs, seabirds, fishing boats, and maybe even a passing whale.

Though short in length, this trail is part of the larger Great Northern Trail Network, a community-driven effort to create inspiring and sustainable hiking experiences across the tip of the island. Flat Point Lookout is perfect for families, seniors, photographers, or anyone looking for a peaceful moment surrounded by raw, coastal beauty.
