Trail Info
Get to know this 16 km point-to-point trail near Quirpon, Newfoundland and Labrador. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 4 h – 5 h to complete. This trail is great for backpacking, camping, and hiking, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are June through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Follow the path the resettled community of Fortune. Experience magnificent coastal views as you discover remnants from decades gone. For a shorter experience, head to Cobbler Point and return for just 4km total.
This versatile trail accommodates users from both directions, allowing vehicles to be parked at either end. Explorers have the flexibility to return to the starting point, complete a loop via the road, or park a vehicle at either terminus for convenience.
Take a step off the beaten path and journey into the breathtaking world of icebergs, whales, and rugged coastlines. Hike the Iceberg Trail where you will find an incredible network of sustainably built trails that will immerse you into the wilderness at the edge of the world.
Warning
This trail has many natural hazards, including high cliffs, slippery slopes, sharp rocks, and deep, frigid waters. Wildlife such as Moose or Coyote may be on trail. Never attempt to approach or feed wildlife, and always keep your distance.
- Some Basic Trail experience recommended.
- Users should have food and at least 2L of water.
- Mostly stable surface with infrequent obstacles.
- Trail/hiking footwear and trekking poles recommended.
- Moderate changes in elevation, some short, steep sections and coastal exposure.
- Trail is marked. Please use cation and stay on designated trail.
