This difficult backcountry route starts at the Goose Cove Municipal Building, and follows the well-known Back Cove Trail for approximately 300m.

Keep left of Back Cove Trail and begin your ascent as the path turns from stone to a rugged backcountry route toward a series of three mountain summits.

First up: a steep climb to Summit 1, offering sweeping inland views. Next, continue your way down to the iconic rocky outcrop of Brimstone Head, visible all the way down in Goose Cove. Continue to Summit 2 for expansive ocean views, then push on to the final summit overlooking Cremallière Bay. Retrace your steps to return to the trailhead.

This trail has many natural hazards, including high cliffs, slippery slopes, sharp rocks, and deep, frigid waters. Wildlife such as Moose or Coyote may be on trail. Never attempt to approach or feed wildlife, and always keep your distance.
