This is a great trail that meanders the coast above Bobby’s Cove, and you can even go further to find the cove and even the Silver Point Trail and the Playground near St. Anthony Bight, or through two different dirt road access points.
Follow this short but rewarding forest path from Bight Loop to a peaceful beach clearing known locally as “The Bottom of the Bight.” As locals say: “Go up in the Bottom for a fire!” — and for good reason. This scenic trail leads you to a beautiful coastal spot equipped with picnic tables, a fire pit, and plenty of space to relax. The trail also connects to the Silver Point Trail, making it a great add-on or turnaround point during longer hikes in the area. There are some slight elevation changes, and even a gazebo roughly half way through the trail. This is a fantastic winter snowshoeing route, and there are a few good benches to relax and have a picnic on.
The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
