
As part of the Great Northern Peninsula’s Iceberg Festival, the Great Northern Trail Association is proud to host its first-ever trail run event on the breathtaking Cartreau Point Trail system in St. Anthony, NL.

Taking place on June 7- 8th, 2025, this exciting initiative offers something for everyone—with a 6km walk (capped at 25 hikers total) and 6km, 11km, and 21km run options (capped at 50 runners total).
Hosted in partnership with the Iceberg Festival and the Town of St. Anthony, this event is open to all ages and fitness levels. We’re calling on local residents, festival visitors, and running enthusiasts from across the province to explore the trails, get active, and connect in the spirit of wellness and adventure.
Join us 4-6PM June 7th, 2025 for an in-person meet & greet and event information session.
Then get ready to run (or hike) 9AM-2PM June 8th, 2025!



21 km – One lap of Fishing Point Park – Up Daredevil Trail’s 476 steps – Two full laps of GNTA’s newly built Cartreau Point Trail – Finishing at the top of the steps.
11 km – One lap of Fishing Point Park – Up Daredevil Trail’s 476 steps – One lap of GNTA’s newly built Cartreau Point Trail – Finishing at the top of the steps.
6 km (Run or Hike) – One lap of Fishing Point Park – Up Daredevil Trail’s 476 steps – Then 1 lap of the Cartreau Point “Small Loop” Trail – Finishing at the top of the steps.
